“Cruisin”
Bruce Palmer is both a long-time New England area radio personality
AND a life-long automotive hobbyist. From his first hot rod almost
30 years ago, his passion for wheels has now grown to a full stable
of 12. Admittedly, he’s a Ford-guy at heart, but he really is an
equal-opportunity auto-phile with a personal garage of 4 Fords, 2
Mercurys, 2 Plymouths, 2 Buicks, a Dodge and an Oldsmobile. One of
the more quirky facts is that 6 of his rides (yes, a full half of
all those cars) are station wagons ! The “pride of the fleet ?” A
1969 Torino GT he brought home from California on Rt 66, completing
its restoration back in ‘98.
As
far as the airwaves are concerned, Cruisin Bruce is now in his 26th
year behind the microphone, having worked at radio stations all
across the northeast. Nowadays, you’ll find him hosting the morning
show on 100 FM “the Pike” out of Worcester from 6-10am weekdays.
So--if you’re looking for a fellow car-fanatic to keep you company
behind the wheel..dial up CruisinBruce on the car radio (or on the
FM converter under the dash !)
2009 marks a big year
for Bruce Palmer on the local scene. It’s the 20th season
he’s been hosting car shows & cruises, mixing the two passions in
his life. Details of his up-coming events are always available,
along with photos and all sorts of auto info on his hobby-focused
website:
